I’m Claudia Castenmiller, a freelance marketing translator. I graduated from the School of Translation and Interpreting in Maastricht in 2021 and subsequently worked for two years as a marketing translator at RWS Group. Since September 2023, I’ve been working independently, translating marketing content from English, Spanish, and French into Dutch.

Post-editing involves revising and fine-tuning machine translations to ensure a high-quality result. With the growing use of automatic translations nowadays, post-editing has become more common. I carefully review the automated translations and make necessary adjustments to provide a high-quality translation.
Revision
When a text is translated, it’s standard practice to conduct a thorough revision to eliminate any language errors. In this phase, the translator’s text is carefully checked, and any potential mistakes are corrected.
Proofreading
After the translation and revision phases, sometimes an additional check is required. During the proofreading phase, everything is revisited, and any inconsistencies or errors are identified and corrected to ensure a refined and error-free result.
